The Director Environmental Substantiality will provide strategic and operational leadership and management to support the university’s efforts in development and implementation of environmental sustainably initiatives and policies. The Director will create and implement strategies to integrate and advance the Institution’s environmental sustainability principles and efforts. 

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director is responsible for overseeing sustainability initiatives for all the Institution’s campuses creating and managing projects that support the universities commitment to sustainability. The Director will develop procedures, polices and processes to continually improve sustainably initiatives and also instil, monitor and enforce a culture of personal accountability for environmental sustainability at all levels.

Based in the office of the Vice Chancellor, the Director will take responsibility and be accountable for leading and coordinating the Institution’s efforts to develop a sustainable campus, with initial focus on the current water crises, but including waste management, energy conservation and environmental health.
