The Department of Animal Science in the Faculty of Science has a permanent position of a Lecturer at the Pretoria Campus.

Key Performance Areas: 

  • Teaching and learning in the following disciplines of Animal Sciences:
  • Animal Nutrition and Pasture Science
  • The preparation and development of learning and assessment materials
  • The presentation of lecturers, tutorial and practical’s on and off campus
  • Conduct field excursions
  • Liaise with industry and other stakeholders regarding curricula, excursions and research and community projects
  • Engagement in community projects
  • Curriculum development
  • Participate in Departmental, Faculty and Institutional activities
  • Responsible for administrative tasks relating to the learning programmes of the Department 

Minimum requirements:  
Academic Qualifications:  A relevant Master’s degree in Animal Sciences specializing in Animal Nutrition (NQF level 9)   
5 years’ experience in teaching, research and/or industry
