SACNASP Pretoria requires the services of Finance Manager

Job Summary:
This position at SACNASP offers the opportunity for a finance professional with extensive experience to provide assistance to sustain the operations of SACNASP through sound financial management and practice, complying with the principles of good corporate governance.

Tasks will include:
The incumbent will be responsible for the complete financial management of SACNASP including compliance with all financial legislation that SACNASP needs to comply with, transparent and proper procurement management, budgeting and reporting, effective record keeping, project management and reporting thereof, cash flow management and managing the team in finance department.

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

Key Responsibilities:
• Managing new applications invoicing process
• Regular reconciliation of pending and registered persons between RP database and Pastel
• Ensures compliance with Council's tax requirements
• Analysis of debtors and debt collection process
• Manage bi-monthly pro rata invoicing
• Manage cash book processing and debtors payment allocations
• Managing and accounting for relevant month end processes:
o Preparation of journals
o Debtors reconciliations
o Suppliers reconciliations
o Payroll reconciliation
o Council meeting schedules
o Fixed asset register reconciliations
o Bad debts write off
o Project funding income and expenses reconciliations
• Prepare monthly management reports and present to Management Committee
• Present quarterly management reports to the Audit and Risk Committee
• Prepare annual budgets and cash flow forecasts
• Prepare audit file
• Prepare annual financial statements using Caseware
• Attend to audit queries

Minimum Qualification and experience:
• B.Com (Accounting) or equivalent
• A minimum of five years experience as an accountant or financial manager.
• Experience in VAT calculations and reconciliations
• Proficient in MS Office Word, Advanced Excel and Outlook
• Proficient in SAGE Pastel and SAGE VIP (non-negotiable)
• Experience in management reporting
• Experience in cash flow forecasts and budgeting
• Experience in EMP501 reconciliations
• Financial statements compilation an advantage

Salary Full Time: R372000- R500 000 inclusive of benefits
